Climate change is having a devastating impact on our planet. But what can one person do?
Earth Hour is a campaign where participants (individuals, business, major corporations, cities, towns, schools) will turn their lights off for one hour – Earth Hour. It started in Sydney in 2007 with 2.2 million participants and a year later 50 million people from 370 cities and town participated.
This year Earth Hour aims to reach 1 billion people from 1000 cities.
Earth Hour is a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community. A call to stand up, to take responsibility and to get involved in working towards a sustainable future. People across the world will turn off their lights and join together in creating the vital conversation about the future of our precious planet.
So join us in this noble effort. Turn off your lights at 8.30pm on Saturday, March 28 and be a part of a global effort and show the world that you care enough about climate change to take action. Tell your friends and encourage them to participate.
