UPDATE ON GRANT APPLICATION

So far, completed and submitted our grant application and convinced our 3 referees (Prof. Ridzwan – UMS, Dr. Annadel Cabanban – WWF, and Stefan Ottomanski – Nagao Foundation) to give us the ‘glowing references :)’. Concurrently, we are registering our ‘KK Reef Watch’ as an NGO as advised by Dr. Annadel. She had also agreed on contributing some of WWF educational kit for our marine educational programme.

We had good meetings with few people regarding our project next year, one of them is Mr. Affendi Yang Amri from Malaysia Reefcheck. He suggested that we advertise our program in the Tourism activities of the year 2008 calendar. So we are going to submit to him our proposed programe activities for 2008 to be publish in the calendar. We are also in contact with Mr. Julian Hyde from Reefcheck Malaysia regarding our reef monitoring program.
